This app is an internal site-management tool built for Knight Construction and Development's own team and the clients of the projects we build. It replaces paper site logs, spreadsheets, and scattered email threads with one place to track job progress, budgets, photos, and communication with homeowners. This page explains what information the app handles, why, and how it's protected.
There are two kinds of people who use this app, and they're treated very differently:
When a team member signs in with Google, we receive their name, email address, and profile photo (if their Google account has one) - used only to identify who's using the app and to check them against the approved employee list.
Beyond sign-in, the app requests permission to read and write files in the team member's Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Sheets. Specifically:
A client's project page shows only what Knight Construction and Development's team has explicitly chosen to share with them - progress updates, photos, and a project checklist. The only information we collect back from a client is the phone number digits they enter to confirm it's them, and, only if they choose to turn it on, a device-level subscription (no personal profile) so we can send them a notification when something new is shared. Clients can ask us to revoke their project link at any time.
This app doesn't maintain a separate database of its own. Every job record, document, photo, and spreadsheet lives inside Knight Construction and Development's own Google Drive, governed by Google's own security and infrastructure - the same place it would live if we'd created it by hand. The app is simply a purpose-built way to read and write to that Drive.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. A small number of service providers process data strictly to make the app work:
All traffic to and from the app is encrypted (HTTPS). Team member access requires Google sign-in plus membership on an explicit, admin-managed approved-employee list. Client project pages are gated by a private, unguessable link plus a phone-number check, and every request is scoped to that one client's own project - there's no way to reach another job's information through it.
Job data persists for as long as Knight Construction and Development keeps the underlying files in Drive, same as any other business record. A team member can revoke this app's access to their Google account at any time from their Google Account permissions page. A client can request their project link be deactivated at any time by contacting us below.
This app is a business tool for construction professionals and their adult clients. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
